VISCOSITY: low (e.g. like sirup)
CREEPABILITY+ + + +
DURRATION: ca. 4 years (in closed cavities)
PROCESSING: Spray can with additional Feinapplikator

FLUID FILM AS-R is a physiologically harmless, solvent-free and thixotropic single-layer corrosion protection coating with sliding and rust dissolving effect based on lanolin. It forms a clear and shiny protective film.

The 400 ml spray can contains FLUID FILM NAS with propane butane as propellant.

400 ml spray can as a universal product for commercial and private use for care, preservation, rust removal and as a lubricant.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

FLUID FILM AS-R is very suitable for companies, workshops, garages and do-it-yourselfer for use as a preservative, maintenance, rust remover and lubricant.

On the car, it provides protection for folds, door edges, cavities, engine compartment as well as for all other corrosion-prone parts. Especially during decommissioning in winter, a thin film of FLUID FILM AS-R protects motorcycles, bicycles or boat parts against rust. Even on chains, joints, steel and metal surfaces, such as in machines and tools, FLUID FILM stops corrosion immediately or prevents it from developing in the first place. Manufacturing companies can also take advantage of this during transport and processing.

By combining corrosion inhibitors and lubricants, moving parts such as deflection rollers, chain transmissions or joints can be protected.

FLUID FILM AS-R is very effective for the maintenance of sports, leisure and household appliances or in the restoration sector, where special attention is paid to the original patina.

ADVANTAGES

In contrast to conventional products, FLUID FILM AS-R is more environmentally friendly and economical to use due to its solvent-free composition.

The basic substance lanolin is non-volatile like oil or kerosene and does not resinify. On the other hand, the effect of solvents usually subsides after 12-15 seconds, that of oil or kerosene ends after a few days, whereby then these conventional agents completely lose the protective effect.

Application

The use of the 400 ml spray can allow a uniform application to large areas with the normal spray attachment.

A 15 cm long spray tube is available on the can for precise use, even in difficult-to-reach places. For use in longer cavities, an approx. 60 cm long spray head extension with a 3-jet all-round nozzle can be supplied.

EFFECT

  • is extremely resistant to all weather influences, including snow and slush and the dissolving salts used in winter service.
  • extremely effective and reliable at the same time as a rust remover and water displacing corrosion inhibitor
  • excellent salt water resistance
  • fast creeping, yet well adhering
  • temperature stable
  • is not washed off or altered by rain and seawater
  • does not evaporate or resinifies, as is it usual by most of penetrating oil
  • plastifies and activates already existing bitumen protective layer on the underbody of vehicles

FLUID FILM AS-R spray cans comply with MIL-Spec C-23050 guidelines.

Packaging

  • FLUID FILM AS-R is available as a 400 ml spray can with extra spray tube
  • Packaging unit: 12 cans in carton
  • A 60 cm long spray head extension with 3-jet all-round nozzle is available as an accessory

FLUID FILM NAS

FLUID FILM NAS

Fluid Film | Automobile | Industry | Agriculture | Truck| Maritime shipping | Wind turbines | Winter Service

VISCOSITY: low-medium (eg. like ketchup)
CREEPABILITY+ + +
DURATION: ca. 8 years (in closed cavities)
PROCESSING: with conventional compressed air systems to heat the material to about 25 ° C or with airless systems

FLUID FILM NAS is a physiologically harmless, solvent-free and thixotrophic single-layer corrosion protection coating with sliding and rust-dissolving effect based on lanolin. It forms a clear and shiny protective film.

APPLICATIONS

FLUID FILM NAS is mainly applied as rust protection of metal surfaces during internal interim storage, for preservation during sea and road transport and for cavity sealing of motor vehicles. It can also be used as a lubricant and creeping agent as well as in winter service.

In conventional processing by means of sprayers, brushes or rollers for corrosion protection measures on dry or damp, bare or rusty surfaces, which are to be protected against salt water and weather influences. For cavities on motor vehicles, FLUID FILM NAS can be used by means of a pressure cup gun with a cavity probe (0.2 or 0.4 mm) after heating to approx. 25°C.

THICKNESS

The effectiveness of a rust protection system depends, among other things, on its layer thickness. It has to be selected according to the given stress and the service life of the object.

We recommend double the layer thickness when protecting cavities with many corners, rebates and overlaps and the presence of an old coating or flash rust.

Surface Preparation

FLUID FILM NAS can be used as a rust remover and at the same time as a corrosion inhibitor. For economic reasons, it is recommended to remove loose dirt such as rust and old coating parts by washing them out. The surface may be moist, but must be cleaned of surface water.

EFFECT

  • solvent-free and physiologically harmless during application and as a protective film;
  • requires minimal surface treatment, penetrates rust, displaces water and forms a highly resistant protection against corrosion by salts
  • good adhesion to damp or dry surfaces
  • no evaporation, resinification or drying out of the protective film
  • can be easily removed if necessary
  • may come into contact with water immediately after application

Packaging

  • 1 litre plastic bottle
  • 1 litre cartridge
  • 5 litre plastic canister
  • 20 litre pail
  • 208 litre drum

FLUID FILM WRO-EP

Fluid Film WRO-EP

Fluid Film | Industry | Agriculture | Truck | Aerospace | Shipping | Recreational boating | Wind turbines | Winter service

VISCOSITY: very high (e.g. ike hard butter)
CREEP ABILITY+
PROTECTION PERIOD: approx. 30 Years (in closed cavities)
PROCESSING: Wire rope lubricator or brush / roller / wool glove
MILITARY APPROVAL: MIL-G-18458B (SH)

FLUID FILM WRO-EP – The solvent-free preservative produced on a wool grease basis offers high-quality corrosion protection for all conditions. It contains anti-aging agents, antioxidants, inhibitors, wetting agents and additives to increase lubricating compressive strength.

It is suitable as a permanently active corrosion protection for wire ropes and screw connections under extreme loads.

FLUID FILM WRO-EP can be used at temperatures from – 45°C up to + 110°C, under extreme pressure conditions. Due to the very high viscosity, this product can only be used to a limited extent as a top coat, but as a strong film-forming material, it is ideally suited as a top coat for sealing and enveloping the rope spandrels and individual wires.

Liquid A can be used for deep penetration.

Surface Preparation

In the case of new wire ropes, the surface should be largely freed from the stranding agent before FLUID FILM WRO-EP is applied. The stranding agent need not be removed from the spandrels between the individual wires.

If well-adhering old coatings are to be retained on used ropes, they must be examined for their functionality; these include, in particular, the adhesion as well as the degree of underrusting and infiltration by water. Before applying the top coat, foreign layers (impurities) must be removed. Damaged areas must be mechanically derusted, at least to the standard purity grade St 1 according to SIS (loose rust), and applied with a base coat. Poorly adhering parts of old coatings should be removed by brushing or with the help of the MASTO wire rope lubrication device.

Application

Apply with hard brushes, rags, sheep’s wool gloves or leather cones.

For long-term protection, a target layer thickness of the top coat of at least 800 μm is required. However, the material can be applied up to 3 mm, whereby it still has a high mechanical strength and a high adhesion. The most effective way is to inject FLUID FILM WRO-EP with the MASTO wire rope lubrication device.

Effect

  • Solvent-free, therefore less environmental impact during handling
  • Very high resistance and durability against saltwater and chemicals
  • Temperature-stable from -45°C up to 110°C
  • High mechanical strength, superior adhesiveness under extreme climatic conditions
  • Excellent wear protection respectively EP compounds
  • Economical in application and uncomplicated in handling. In one step a coating of up to 3.000 µm can be applied.
  • 1-component product with 98 % solids content

Packaging

  • cartridge 310 ml
  • 17.6 litre pail
  • 208 litre drum

VISKOSITY: low
Processing: brush, roller, pressure cup gun, airless spraying
Color: transparent (clear), black, aluminum, buff (ocher)

PERMA FILM is a 1-component surface-tolerant thick film paint. This calcium sulfonate compound dissolved in resin provides effective rust protection for all bare, rusted or old-coated ferrous metals.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Ballast water tanks, damp empty cells, offshore and industrial plants, machine parts, tools and equipment during sea transport and longer external storage, wheelhouses, underbody, winter service and equipment.

WORKING METHOD – PERMA FILM SYSTEM

Surface preparation: high-pressure washing and removal of loose components with the wire brush. The surfaces can be wet, but without water drops. Apply as Pre-Primer FLUID FILM Liquid A/NAS or AS-R by nebulization (layer thickness max. 10-15μm). PERMA FILM is ready for use and can then be processed directly with the pressure cup gun after the ACTION of the FLUID FILM. By combining it with FLUID FILM, the system remains flexible in itself, hardens on the surface and combines the positive properties such as the penetrability of FLUID FILM with those of a grip-resistant protective layer.

A prerequisite for reliable corrosion protection and good adhesion is a dry layer thickness of at least 150μm. This layer thickness is obtained after 2-3 applications when applied with a brush or roller, and after 1 application when spraying (wet layer thickness 250μm).

For the maintenance of ballast water tanks, we recommend preparing the surface according to the degree of cleaning ST2 or Wa2 by high-pressure washing and spraying FLUID FILM Liquid A as an active rust primer. PERMA FILM should then be applied in 2 layers. The first in a wet layer thickness of 150μm (dry layer thickness 100μm) and the second in a wet layer thickness of 250μm (dry layer thickness 150μm).
